    Komercni Zeleznicni Vyzkum (KZV) focuses its activity on development and production of complete track geometry measuring devices, and rail and wheel profilemeters. KZV also provides on-demand track geometry measurement, evaluation and consultancy.

    KZV was founded in 1992 when four bold fellows decided to utilize more then ten years of experience in the field of permanent way. Now we submit the results of creativity process of our team and we do believe you will be involved in utilizing them the same way as we enjoy the beauty of this branch which we try to develop in cooperation with you.

    KZV is also equiped with laboratory for static tests of currently developed railway elements, corressponding electronic and computing accessories and a mechanical workshop. Considerable financial resources were issued to software systems. Our company consists of four university educated and two secondary educated employees.

    • new type of sleeper preposal from the overstress concrete
    • new type of the turnout fixation on the concrete sleepers
    • development of tension technology within no-joint track mounting

    Measuring and noise

    • measuring and analysis of track friction and defect monitoring
    • measuring and analysis of mechanical processes inside the rail fixation
    • tests of mechanical properties of rubber rail nogs
    • noise measuring of tram tracks

    Expert's testimony

    • development of computer model NRT for the real track straining calculations (this program is used by companies like Pandrol Ltd., British Rail Research and Tifsa)
    • preposals of track geometry evaluation methods
    • study of the Gbgkks cars behaviour on track corrugation

    A few months ago we decided to change our measuring TDS Reconon-board computer. For our customers it means higher power, watertightness, perfect resistance in falls and much more persistance of batery. TDS Recon has integrated GPS module and each local defect in the track is saved with GPS coordinate.
